Does anyone have any tips on applying liquid eye liner?

i always have to use a pencil instead cos my hands are unsteady, even when i rest my arm on something, and even when my hands are steady, i still can't draw an even line or get both eyes to match. help! i love the look of the liquid. thanks.Does anyone have any tips on applying liquid eye liner?
i had the same problem. when you're doing the lower rims of your eyes make sure that you line the lashes not the sensitive tissue above it. and when you're lining make dashes..you know like connect the dots.

the top part is the hardest. put your elbows on an even surface when your doing this. stretch the corner of your eyes so the skin in your lids is smooth tight. then slowly apply the liner but make a thin line (this way you can make it thicker). Then make sure the liquid is dry then let go of the corner of your eye then repeat the process with the other eyelid. if you think its uneven just keep repeating the process but make sure you do it in moderation..you dont want to end up with a suuper thick line.Does anyone have any tips on applying liquid eye liner?
put it around your eyes
buy avon's perfect wear all day eyeliner.it stays on basically all day.for mistakes have a swab with mineral oil or petroleum near by to fix your mistakes.if you cant draw the line find someone else to do it.
i had the same problem so i want with the permanent solution
Just throw it on and then use a wet Q-tip to make the line smooth and even. Best wishes
When applying liquid eyeliner I usually pull my eye slightly at the outer corner and I keep my eye open so that I can see where I am applying the liner. If you do make a mistake which I do all the time, I use a dampened q-tip to gently erase any smudges.
I love liquid eyeliner, its like the only make up i use. Im an expert at henna, so my hand is always steady. I think liquid looks best when it is applyed in a thin line on top of your eyes, and with pencil under your eyes. Both eyes should match, one cant be too much thicker than the other. If u cant draw a steady line, ask someone else to do it for u, or just practice, eventually, it will come to u!
Be very careful not to get any in your eyes.Oh yeah...you can use a ruler.
I've been practicing for years with liquid eyeliner! Just keep trying it! I look straight ahead into the mirror and do it in one go, quickly to get a straight even line. Make sure you've got quite a lot on the brush and hold it lightly on your eyelid, at a slight angle above it. I don't know where you're from but here in the UK we have Rimmell cosmetics and they're liquid eyeliner is very good.
Liquid takes practice and a steady hand. Resting your arm on something should help. Make sure the little brush/applicator is covered evenly before you apply - not clumpy or dry or dripping. I suggest applying it to the top lid only - thick liquid liner on the bottom can be a little too much.

Dark eyeshadow blended on your lids can help camoflouge uneven eyeliner lines.
practice really . . . Think of it as a paintbrush, cause thats what it really is. . . . and just apply it gently. . .
never tried
Try using one that is not water proof so you can redo if you mess up. Try using pencil, then going over pencil with liquid to see your precision. Good luck and don't give up!
Use qtips for when you mess up. Try to be as steady as can be , but when you mess up....just dab the end of the q-tip on your tongue (get it damp), then use it to fix the mess-ups. You should be able to get both eyes perfect and matching!!!!!!
Hope you're not a flincher!

It's cold, wet and takes practice. Do you pull the corners of your eye to make it more straight? Sometimes it helps to start thin on the inside corners of your eyes and get thicker as you go to the outside corner. This also creates a cool cat eye look.
there are some liquids that have applicators that are like a felt tipped pen... you might find them easier to use. Otherwise, pull the skin on your eyelid tight, and then apply a thin line as close to the lashes as possible... wait a few seconds (for it to dry) and then release the skin. As long as the line is thin on both sides, it can be a little uneven without anyone noticing.

Also, try using liquid on top and pencil on bottom... unless you're a pro, it's really hard to get an even line on the bottom lid.
I'm a black eyeliner FREAK! LOL! I used to love the way liquid eyeliner looked, but I had your same problem. Until I found the liquid black eyeliner Avon sells, instead of a ';brush';, it's like a marker, so it makes a little bit easier to apply. ;)
practice practice practice. its tough at first but after a while it gets much easier. open your eye halfway, if its all the way open you dont have a good enough view of where youre applying it and if its all the way closed it tends to shake more. try drawing a line that follows right along your lash line. if it is too hard for you try another brand because some brushes make it easier than others. after a little practice it becomes so much easier and its worth it..i swear by liquid eye liner.
Try to apply the thinnest line possible. Then, when it has begun to dry, use the tip if a sponge applicator to smudge it a little. The line will look a bit softer and is more forgiving if both lines don't match. Practice a few times and you will get the hang of it.
well see go to a salon %26amp; thell do it for u...

i use pencil cuz then the liquid one gets nasty from tha top! well just ask sum one
Yeah, don't bother with it. If its gets in your eye it sucks and if you mess up on where you want it it can be hard to get off..

get some eye shadow and dip your brush into some water and then add it to the eye shadow to make it sorta liquidy. its better i think
don't drive the car at the same time-that drives me nuts
men think that women who wear make up looklike hoes
OK I myself battled this one for years it was a sad sad case when I would go to use liquid eyeliner. But I finally learned that when you pull the applicator out of the bottle draw on a piece of paper using the brush to get any excess liquid off then, gently pull your eyelid shut and keep it shut while you put the liner on the top lid,If you mess up use a q-tip with make-up remover to remove the liner.Good luck.
don't get it in your eye
No, sorry, but I can't wait to hear some tips! I have the same problem. One side looks great, then the other side is like 7 inches thick.
dont put liquid eyeliner cuz if u do..it'll get into ur eye and it'll sting badly cuz my frend tried it and she almost became blind!
PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE. You'll never learn unless you mess up a few hundred times. Liquid rocks, I recommend Maybeline Eye Express easy lining pen. It gives you more control with it's hard yet flexible tip.

Hope this helps!
