It seems like no matter what eye liner I use, by the end of the day, I have raccoon eyes. Any suggestions to avoid this?

I had the same problem and this is how i fixed it. First buy a smudge proof and water proff eyeliner. Then buy clean and clear anti shine powder. Its this blue powder in a small compact. Brush that under your eyes before you put the eyeliner on. Use a brush not the sponge that comes with it. It stops any oil from accumulation around your eyes. ( also great for a base for cream eye shadows- just dust a little over your eyelids before applying a cream eyeshadow)Tips for keeping eye liner from smudging on the bottom of the eye?

omg i know exactly wht ur problem is!!!! mine does tht ALLL the time even if i dont touch my eyes at all at school it still gets smudged. i suggest another brand. like Almay. thts way i use.

What causes it to smudge are your skins natural oils. So the best thing to do is apply the eyeliner on the inner edge of your eyes. There they have the least chance of smudging and apply a little translucent powder on the area of skin under your eye. That will keep the oils at bay. Good luck :)
