Need a tip, My eye shadow and eye liner doesn't stay on for a long time. Any tips on how to make it last long?

I have this problem too.. okay well i got a tip for the eyeshadow, just damp your brush and then put the eyeshadow on, but make sure its damp everytime you get more eyeshadow on it..

First off, it could be the actual eye shadow and eye liner that you are using. If it is from a drug store, then it might not be as high-quality as professional eye shadows or eye liners. If you want more staying power, you could invest in high quality eye shadows/liners from MAC cosmetics. Their eye shadows and eye liners are great and have a higher staying power than drug store products.


If you want to keep the eye shadow you have, you could try applying a thin layer of concealer to your eye before you put any make up on it.


There is also a product by Urban Decay (found at Sephora stores) called ';Primer Potion';. It swears to keep eye makeup long for a longer amount of time.

Try to find some of this Benefit She Laq.....it seals the make-up so that it wont run or fade!
people say that urban decay's primer potion is amazing and that nothing moves if you put it on. it is a little expensive, around $15 i think. you can get it at sephora and ulta.

Okay gurl,this is the problem that most of us women have..A trick i learned and i actually use is before applying your eye shadow to your eyes put a sufficient amount of vasaline on to your lids..then you will apply the eye shadow like you normally do..this actually does work!! the vasaline actually prevents the eye shadow from disappearing..Try it,it WORKS

Apply concealer to your lids before applying color. Same is true for your lipstick.
Use a foundation on your eyelides before you apply your eyeshadow, good ol' Vaseline works great.





As for the eyeliner, you may just want to look into a better brand. MAC has fabulous eyeliner. You could also try liquid eyeliner.

MAC eyeshadow will last you the whole day. For the eyeliner, you should apply face powder underneath your eye to keep the liner intact and to avoid smearing...avoid the 'racoon eyes'.
after u put on ur make-up spray some hair spray on ur face, it makes it stay longer n look better.

Moisturize your face including your eyelids... then put pressed powder on them... that helps the shadow last longer... and the liner... also if you are going out some of the eye shadows suggest using them damp to achieve a little darker shade... i have heard that also makes it stay a little better... hope that i have been able to help you...
I think if you put like a powdered foundation on your eyes before you put the makeup on it can help it from running or wiping off.. also try to use waterproof eye liner

First apply a base on your eyelid. Like MAC paint or shade stick. If you are on a budjet then you can try a liquid foundaton that comes in a tube, like a lip gloss tube. Then apply your eyeshadow with a few layers. You can also buy spray that helps keep your makeup in place. MAC cosmetics sells it. As far as eyeliner, it depends on the brand and how you put in on. The best way to put it on is by a brush. Makesure that it is an eye pencil and doesnt have any type of cream paste to it. Good Luck
