Number one, never take fashion advice from Britney Spears. We can see that is an image from her ';Stronger'; video.

That being said, the look is not achieved with liner alone. She is wearing liner along the bottom lashes, heavier on the outer 2/3 as well as on the top, also heavier on the outer 2/3 and drawn upwards beyond the edge of the eye (cat's eye look). She is also wearing dark grey/black shadow in the crease of the lid and using it to give a smokey effect to the liner. A lighter shade of shimmery grey/silver is also used near the brow, in the inner corner of the lid and along the inner part of the lower lid. Take this photo to a cosmetics counter and have them show you how to achieve the look (a Shoppers Drug Mart cosmetician should be able to help you, but be sure to buy something, otherwise that's just rude).
Lol i know how you feel, its took me ages to get the hang of stuff like makeup and hair.

First put on a light eyeshadow all over the eye, or a primer (you can get these from most makeup shops, they help the eyeshadow stay on and will make the eyeshadow look a more clear colour)

Then get an off-white colour of eyeshadow, and apply 3/4 over the lid, leaving the ends with no colour.

Then get a black colour, and apply the eyeshadow to the corners, then don't put more eyeshadow on leave whats left on the brush, if you feel underneath your brow there should be a bone, smudge the black colour up to the edge of the browbone, circular motions with your finger/eyeshadow brush.

Then use kohl eyeliner on the top lid, it'll take some practise to get a straight line, just try and follow your eyelashes, then smudge the line out using your finger.

Finish with a highlighter colour (silvery colour) directly underneath your brow, and at the first part of your eye, right at the tip where your eyelids start.

To end, put on some mascara.

Hope this helps :)xxx
i always use the maybelline eyeshadows, the four color ones, because on the back it tells you exactly where to put the colors and in what order. i had the same problem, but not i always get compliments on my eye makeup. good luck :)

if you don't know what colors bring out what eye colors, then check out the almay makeup section which should be near maybelline in drugstores since almay tells you what colors bring out what eyes. ex. golds/coppers/browns bring out blue eyes so i use maybelline chail atte for the winter/fall months and sunlit bronze which is my favorite for the summer/spring.
First, you need an extremely steady hand and a finely sharpened eyeliner. I would suggest you check out Bare Minerals Smoky Eye kit. It tells you how to achieve the look but you don't have to buy the product. You can also get the same look with other colors. It does not have to be just black. Combos of brown, gray, or dark blue work great too, depending on your eyes and skin tone. Black may be a bit overpowering. Good luck!
ok this is what you do

first grab a silver shimmery eyeshadow apply it on till the top of your brow bone the get a black apply it on the lid and make a corner you may do eyeliner to help you to fill it in grab a q tip and perfect it till its done then do your eyeliner and SMUDGE!!! again wwith a Q tip
well I dont use much make up but I the way to make it look like you want is applying a very light shade from your eye lashes to your eye brows cover everything beetween that then apply a darker shade of the same color from the inner corner of your eyeback to the other corner(but just apply eye shadow to the brush once and use the brush to do that effect)
Once you check out this video all your questions will be answered
