I am 16, african american and I have dark brown eyes. I currently use like a bluish-greenish eyeliner then I put a bit of black-brown over it. I also use black mascara afterwards. Black-brown by itself looks really great. It can be worn naturally for a day look, or you could add more for a night look. And it really makes me brown eyes pop. Okay, I have brown eyes myself and I always used brown eyeliner or black, or blue. But I found this liner by PIXI in the No. 4 shade. It's a great silvery-olive, but it's super dark and rich. It stays on all day and rolls on smoothly. It has a bit of a shimmer to it, but the shimmer is just golden flecks. Most wonderful eyeliner. You can get it at Target.
Oh, and they have other shades also. I would try out some golden liners. Great thing about dark complexions is that silvers and golds look remarkable.
I think you should totally try, brown. It'll make eveything look natural and together! Try a teal color that would look AH-MAZ-ING with your darker skin!! but still keep everything else on your face natural but teal eyeliner would look so cute!!

pretty much any color. :) You can use black, i find it's good for more dramatic looks or changing to night. Brown I tend to use for everyday but sometimes I use blue or green. Purple looks good on brown eyes as well :)

You probably have beautiful eyes, so keep the makeup as toned down and natural as you can when I say purple, I mean closer to black, and blend it in so it isn't too intense. The soft white sponges work great to blend your eyeshadow together. These colors work for me with almost everything, I don't like too much colored eyeshadow anyway, I think it is tacky, so I try to stay natural. They have eyeshadow that comes in sets, so I usually get those.

for everyday wear i would use a dark brown eyeliner and neutral color eye shadows. your eye color counts for a lot of which colors to use but also you skin tone. if you are what i call a classic completion ( which is what most women are) try not to use dark blues or greens. i do recommend playing with color and don't be afraid to do so. purples and browns are going to look best no matter what skin tone you have. just remember go lighter in the day and at night you can go darker with the colors. i have dark brown eyes and they are big so i love to ';dress'; them up. you can even try using a darker color of purple eyeliner with some different hues of purples and browns together.

for everyday wear i would use a dark brown eyeliner and neutral color eye shadows. your eye color counts for a lot of which colors to use but also you skin tone. if you are what i call a classic completion ( which is what most women are) try not to use dark blues or greens. i do recommend playing with color and don't be afraid to do so. purples and browns are going to look best no matter what skin tone you have. just remember go lighter in the day and at night you can go darker with the colors. i have dark brown eyes and they are big so i love to ';dress'; them up. you can even try using a darker color of purple eyeliner with some different hues of purples and browns together.
You can use a very dark color eye shadow and green color eye liner.
black eyeliner is always good and green, pink, bronzey or gold, charcoal are good colors for eye shadow!!

Use those colors and see how you like, lightly line your top and bottom and accent with an eye color palette putting some along the half to the end of your bottom eye liner line

I love color! It looks great if it's done right. For day to day, use it subtly, you can go a little more wild at night and for going out. Too much and will look like Barbie or a hooker. Use neutral shadow, as the focus is the eyeliner. I personally stay away from pink and yellow, they make me look sickly. But I love purple, blue and green. I have dark brown eyes and use a purple eye liner. It really makes my eyes stand out and looks good with anything.
some colors that always go with brown is pink,black and light brown.
I have brown eyes and I can tell you DARK BLUE works the very best! It really brings them out. Silver works well too.

Really you can use any color it's more how you use it with the clothes you are wearing or for what occasion. I always like browns and bronzes, I have brown eyes but in spring and summer I use pinks and blues also depending on how I feel and what I'm wearing. Always use brown liner and mascara and the darker colors seem to work better on me, I have darker skin.

You can wear whatever color you like, really. If you wear black eyeliner, you're going for a stronger look, brown softer...
now to eyeshadows, I like to stay in the earth colors. I think browns go with anything. But it's really up to you and what you're wearing. Although, it's not a good idea to wear a bright blue shirt *hypothetically speaking* and bright blue eyeshadow.

i'm a licensed esthetician and make-up artist and for winter balls, outdoor winter events or just snowy days it works really well to wear a light color on the top lid that cordinates with your outfit and eye color.
but shiney white should only be applied on the lower inner lid .

Hello I'm looking for some eye-liner I'm going for the smudged look but want it to be very subtle to the point where you cannot tell i'm wearing it but to just add effect to my eyes. Even though you say your going for the ';subtle'; effect makeup on guys is always a turn off for me and most girls, if a girl notices your wearing it she may turn the other way.
Adding a dark smudge to your eye will just make you look like you have had no sleep!
I dont think it's a good idea but for what its worth if your going to do it make shure its not noticable.
Dark brown will be less harsh too.
And to ';MCRfor life'; or whatever, Eyeliner on guys makes you look like an emo and considering you listen to mychemical romance then i guess you are an emo anyway.

Well, my advice would be to go to your CVS or Rite Aid or whatever and find the ';Wet'n'wild'; brand--they're $.99. Grab dark brown, lighter brown, black and gray and see which work best for you. The color of your eyelashes, eyelids and eyebrows are going to have a major factor in how it looks, not to mention how light or dark your eye color is.

Try Olive, Amethyst, or Navy, as a Beauty Consultant I can tell you that these colors look the best with brown eyes no matter what skin tone you have. If you're fair (ivory) Bronze will look really good too. Hope this helps.

Black or Blue would look good with your dark eyes. Mine look black sometimes too. I use Turquoise liquid eyeliner from Target. It makes my eyes POP! Use it. But its water proof, so make sure you take it off with make up remover! Hope I helped(:

i have really dark brown eyes too. i use black eyeliner and bown. Black by itself makes them look lighter but makes your eyes look smaller. Brown makes them pop in my opinion. but what I really love is to put on brown eyeliner and then mix it with a very little black. btw green and very light blue eyeshadows looks best with brown eyes
Try Olive, Amethyst, or Navy, as a Beauty Consultant I can tell you that these colors look the best with brown eyes no matter what skin tone you have. If you're fair (ivory) Bronze will look really good too. Hope this helps.

Blondes need to be careful about using eyeliner on the top eyelids - it can make us look slutty if you have pale skin. So I use just a little on the outside edges, and go past the eye for a cats eye look. Brown eyeliner for a neutral day look, or very black for a sizzling night look.
Make sure your lips look pale - just a neutral brown or pink gloss will make your eye makeup look less heavy.
Keep looking at magazines for some makeup ideas on other blondes.

Cover ur whole lid in a plum colour with dark green were you would usually put your eyeliner, then a very light green just below your eyebrows..that should really bring out your green eyes :D

I also have brown eyes and I just got the revlon colorstay quad eyeshadow kit in lavender meadow. It was $12 but worth it. For a suddel look, go for brown shades and maybe to kick it up a notch and a bit of purple liner. It's all about the purple!!! It brings out the brown flecks in you eyes and it just looks gorgeous! Oh ya, don't forget mascara. It will open up your eyes and make em pop! Good luck!

i dont know a specific color but i know of a few techniques you can use to make your eyes appear bigger and brighter.
when you line the bottom of your eye start from the outter corner and work your way inward, dont draw the line all the way to the other corner of your eye (the inner) because closing it up will make your eyes look smaller. stop lining a little more than half way.
also if you apply lighter eye shadow like off white shimmer to the inner corners of your eyes your eyes will look brighter.
also use that same color to highlight your brow bone. and be sure to BLEND it in with the other darker color. you dont wanna look like a hooker.

try bown or dark green ...i know it saounds like you will be keeping it safe but trust me they will pop!! my eyes aren't hazel though either way ..most of the people that i know that have hazel eyes prefer brown! prefer dark brown ..too

i dont know a specific color but i know of a few techniques you can use to make your eyes appear bigger and brighter.
when you line the bottom of your eye start from the outter corner and work your way inward, dont draw the line all the way to the other corner of your eye (the inner) because closing it up will make your eyes look smaller. stop lining a little more than half way.
also if you apply lighter eye shadow like off white shimmer to the inner corners of your eyes your eyes will look brighter.
also use that same color to highlight your brow bone. and be sure to BLEND it in with the other darker color. you dont wanna look like a hooker.

try this look:
mascara:
Cover girl lash blast (put a lot on, you can find it at like a make up store for cheap http://www.covergirl.com/products/produc鈥?/a> )
anykind of pencil brown or black eyeliner:
take it and do a thick catline and take an eyeliner smear brush (sometimes they come on the back of the pencil) and smear it where you would put eye shaddow, now do a thin line accross the top (dont add a cateye part to it).
white or light colred eyeshaddow:
put it from where you stop with the eyeliner to your eyebrow to make your eyes look brighter and make you lokk pretty (it sounds dumb but it really does work)
Put on your skin stuff:
blush, bronzer, highlighter cream, concealer, etc.
put on in anyorder you prefer. i would do this:
1. Skin stuff
2. Eyeliner part, then eyeshaddow right after it.
3. Alot of mascara, that one with the link doesnt clump your lashes.
Try this site for eyeshadow and use blue or green liner.
